Red Carpet is disruptive, urban street theatre; a bemusing ensemble endlessly roll and unroll red carpets end-to-end, no celebrities in sight, no apparent destination. The performers battle for status and one-upmanship as they physically overcome the obstacles they encounter in the streets hindering their seemingly futile task. The carpet cannot be stopped and their progress creates comedy and chaos. As they encourage the surrounding public to help them, incongruent public scenes and a bold red line are created sweeping everyone up and forcing them to momentarily reimagine the everyday.
